Former Nebraska gymnast, Addy De Jesus, announced that she has committed to UCLA to finish out her NCAA career.
De Jesus will be a Junior this fall, so she will be competing for the Bruins for the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
De Jesus was let go from the Nebraska women’s gymnastics team for a “violation of team rules,” according to the Lincoln Journal Star.
De Jesus competed in the all-around during the 2020 season and earned second-team All-Big Ten honors her freshman year.
De Jesus posted on her Instagram account that the process to find a new school has “been more stressful than I could have ever anticipated,” but that she is “extremely excited” to be joining the Bruins for the rest of her athletic and academic career.
Welcome to the Bruin family, Addy!
